Luciano Fabro

Luciano Fabro (Turin 1936- Milan 2007), showed a precise interest in space, considered as a communicative dimension, an interwoven context of relations between the outside and inner worlds, right from the start of his career.
His first works, glass structures concentrated on relationships between transparency and mirroring, or those made of tubular iron, investigate the environment by intervening in its perception.
The interest in space then encouraged him to physically involve the spectator in sensorial adventures. On another front, he produced "tautologies", pure ascertainments, not experiences, as in Concetto spaziale (Spatial Concept) in 1967, where a piece of floor is covered with newspapers.
