Asger Jorn

Asger Jorn (Vejrum, 3 March 1914 – 1 May 1973) was a Danish painter.
He arrived in Paris in 1936 to follow the Art Academy of Fernand Léger. During the Nazi occupation of Denmark, Jorn was a communist, active in the resistance, and took part in the artistic group Høst.
He was one of the founders of the CO.BR.A. group.
Painter, sculptor, ethnoarchaeologist and wild architect, in 1957 he was one of the founders of the Internationale Situationniste.
